A notice of resignation has been received from Cllr Rhiannon Tanner and an advertisement for a replacement will appear shortly.
A discussion took place with Mr Mike Clogg Operational Manager, Engineering, at Vale of Glamorgan Council who explained the hard work his staff were undertaking at the present time in view of flooding and ice on roads, despite extensive gritting. Drains have been cleared at the rear of the Walston Castle and other areas.
The Council are still working on options for an additional crossing on Port Rd and hope to be able to come forward with proposals to the Ward Councillor and the Community Council within four to six weeks.
Police Matters
A total of 35 incidents were recorded in the past month including burglaries, road vehicle collisions, thefts and fight/disturbances.
