Is there a better way to spend a Tuesday morning than walking along the glorious Vale of Glamorgan coast, with friendly folk to chat and laugh with? Ask the Stress Buster strollers who enjoyed their leisurely Tuesday morning stroll with fabulous views across to English shores

Some gloomy grey skies did not dampen the spirits of the Stress Buster strollers on their monthly walk. Smiles and chatting were in abundance as they strolled through the woods in Romilly Park, uphill on the grass of marine drive, then down the promenade to take a look at the Bull’s Nose on thr Knap beach. Next was Watchtower Bay which was at its best with the tide far out showing the golden sands. A walk through the lakeside gardens and coffee…and more chatting finished an enjoyable, fun morning out!!

Final Stress Buster Stroll Of 2022
The rain stayed away for the final Stress Buster stroll of 2022, as an attempt was made to walk off some of the mince pies consumed in the past days! Leftover celebration chocolates were provided to keep energy levels up. Christmas stories were shared – including the tale of the exploding champagne bot-tle left for too long in the freezer…. I hope it wasn’t a vintage bottle!

So much to experience on the Stress Buster walk this month. A plane flew overhead on Cold Knap Point. Beautiful orange leaves underfoot in Romilly Park. An eclipse could be seen through gloomy grey clouds and balmy sunshine, unlike the usual October weather. Nature is wonderful, and walking in it and through it is a fabulous tonic for everyone.

Stress Buster strollers welcomed 3 new walkers today. The group enjoyed a lovely stroll 
under glorious blue skies alongside a sparkling sea. How did we manage to lose 3 walkers in the Parade gardens? They were too busy talking to notice we had turned back! We did reunite…so no need for a search party!

Burnet moths, swans, ducklings, a St Bernard puppy, spectacular sunflowers and a stray dog were all features of the Stress Buster strollers amble around the lake gardens and knap promenade. And don’t forget the chatting and Welsh cakes that were shared to celebrate the first anniversary of this walk!!
