First Anniversary Of The Stroll

The Stress Buster Strollers

Burnet moths, swans, ducklings, a St Bernard puppy, spectacular sunflowers and a stray dog were all features of the Stress Buster strollers amble around the lake gardens and knap promenade. And don’t forget the chatting and Welsh cakes that were shared to celebrate the first anniversary of this walk!!

No Rainbows This Month

The Stress Buster Strollers

There were no rainbows to be seen on the Stress Buster stroll this month; however the multitude of colourful coats worn by the strollers provided enough colour as they walked in windy conditions along the Knap promenade!

Colourful coats are not obligatory, just enthusiasm for a walk!

Giant Hogweed Warning

GIANT HOGWEED WARNING

Just a reminder to walkers, especially now it seems summer has finally come, to be wary of Giant Hogweed when you are out in the country especially if you have your children with you. The picture below shows a young girl who suffered 2nd degree burns after coming into contact with Giant Hogweed

The lakeside gardens

The Stress Buster Strollers

Some strollers on the Stress Buster walk took the opportunity to take the weight off their feet when they found a bench, as they wandered through the lakeside gardens. New walkers joined the group and were soon laughing and chatting with others. Talking and walking is a great way of relieving stress….join us!

Fantastic Views of Cold Knap

The Stress Buster Strollers

On a beautiful sunny day, 3 new strollers joined the stress buster walk. The group enjoyed fantastic views of Cold Knap and Watchtower beaches. Two strollers had the misfortune of deposits from an overhead bird…the risks of a coastal walk!!

Stroll Around the Knap

The Stress Buster Strollers

The Stress Buster walking group enjoyed a relaxing, restful stroll around the Knap. The spring flowers were flourishing after the warm weather in the lakeside and parade gardens. The displays of daffodils in the lakeside gardens are glorious and well worth a look if you venture into Barry.

Four Seasons Stroll

The Stress Buster Strollers

The Stress Buster stroll this morning turned into the Four Seasons Stroll as the walkers experienced winter winds, spring showers, summer sunshine and autumnal chills. But this intrepid group held onto their bobble hats, kept walking and talking and welcomed the drinks that were served in bright sunshine at the cafe
