{"id":7480,"date":"2020-05-01T13:35:11","date_gmt":"2020-05-01T12:35:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wenvoe.org.uk\/?p=7480"},"modified":"2020-05-01T13:35:11","modified_gmt":"2020-05-01T12:35:11","slug":"red-onion-and-goats-cheese-tart","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/wenvoe.org.uk\/?p=7480","title":{"rendered":"Red Onion and Goats Cheese Tart"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"Default\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><b><span style=\"color: windowtext;\">Red Onion and Goats Cheese Tart <\/span><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"Default\" style=\"padding-left: 60px;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt; color: windowtext;\">2 tbsp. olive oil <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"Default\" style=\"padding-left: 60px;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt; color: windowtext;\">4 large red onions, each peeled and cut into 8 wedges <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"Default\" style=\"padding-left: 60px;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt; color: windowtext;\">2 large garlic cloves, peeled and finely chopped <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"Default\" style=\"padding-left: 60px;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt; color: windowtext;\">1 tsp. chopped fresh thyme leaves <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"Default\" style=\"padding-left: 60px;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt; color: windowtext;\">1 tbsp. balsamic glaze <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"Default\" style=\"padding-left: 60px;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt; color: windowtext;\">1 sheet frozen ready rolled puff pastry, defrosted <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"Default\" style=\"padding-left: 60px;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt; color: windowtext;\">150g good quality goat\u2019s cheese, rind removed and broken into bite size pieces <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"Default\"><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt; color: windowtext;\">Heat oven 170C fan. Heat the oil in a large pan add the onions and gently cook for about 4 to 5 minutes. Add the garlic, thyme and balsamic glaze and season. Mix to coat the onions in the glaze. Cook for a further 4 to 5 minutes. Unroll the pastry onto a large non-stick baking sheet. Score a border 1cm from the edge, without cutting right through. Spoon the onion mixture over the pastry, within the border. Scatter the cheese over the onions and bake for 25 to 30 minutes, until pastry has risen and is golden.
