And berries galore\u2026.<\/p>\n<hr noshade=\"noshade\" size=\"5\" \/>\n<hr \/>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #008000;\"><span style=\"font-size: 18pt; font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\"><strong>Broad Bean and Goats\u2019 Cheese Bruschetta<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<hr noshade=\"noshade\" size=\"5\" \/>\n<p><strong>Ingredients <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 80px;\">400g\/14oz fresh broad beans, (about 300g\/10\u00bdoz when podded)<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 80px;\">1 whole red chilli<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 80px;\">2 garlic cloves, finely chopped<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 80px;\">1 spring onion, thinly sliced<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 80px;\">1 lemon, zest and juice only<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 80px;\">1 tbsp dried oregano or 2 tbsp fresh chopped oregano<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 80px;\">\u00bd loaf sourdough bread, sliced<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 80px;\">4 tbsp olive oil<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 80px;\">200g\/7oz soft goats\u2019 cheese<\/p>\n<p><strong>Method<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Heat a large saucepan filled with boiling water. Blanch the beans very briefly (just to soften, not to cook them through). Drain and set aside to cool.<\/li>\n<li>Roast the chilli over a direct flame on the hob until blackened a little, but not completely charred. Or, char them under a hot grill. Slice open and remove the seeds. Cut the flesh into thin ribbons.<\/li>\n<li>Mix the chilli, garlic, spring onion, lemon zest and juice together. Add the oregano and broad beans and lightly crush them as you mix. You don\u2019t want a smooth pur\u00e9e, but it needs to hold together.<\/li>\n<li>Heat a large griddle pan and drizzle the sliced sourdough with a little olive oil. Place on the griddle and cook on both sides for 1-2 minutes, or until the bar marks appear.<\/li>\n<li>Remove from the heat and spread with the goats\u2019 cheese. Top with the broad bean mixture and serve.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr noshade=\"noshade\" size=\"5\" \/>\n<hr noshade=\"noshade\" size=\"5\" \/>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #008000;\"><span style=\"font-size: 18pt; font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\"><strong>Summer Berry Clafoutis<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 80px;\">50g softened butter<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 80px;\">400g mixed berries strawberries, raspberries, blueberries<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 80px;\">For the Batter:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 80px;\">100g ground almonds<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 80px;\">10g marzipan<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 80px;\">2 tbsp plain flour<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 80px;\">100g caster sugar<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 80px;\">2 eggs<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 80px;\">2 egg yolks<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 80px;\">250ml double cream<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 80px;\">Vanilla essence<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Method<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Heat oven to 190C\/170C fan. Gas mark 5.<\/li>\n<li>Butter a 23cm flan dish or tin and scatter the berries over the base.<\/li>\n<li>Whizz all the batter ingredients in a blender until smooth then pour it over the fruits. Transfer to the oven and bake for 20-25 mins until risen and golden brown.<\/li>\n<li>Serve warm.
