As Chair of the Wenvoe Village Hall, I would like to apologise to anyone that was offended or got caught up in the aftermath of the disturbance that happened on Friday 29th August at the Village Hall. <\/em><\/span><\/p>\n This was a 16th Birthday party that was \u201cgatecrashed\u201d by a crowd of youths and as soon as we were informed of this, members of the committee, Gail, Carol & Debbie, went down to stop the party. The Police were called, by whom we don\u2019t know, (but thank you) and they did an admirable job in handling the crowd. <\/em><\/span><\/p>\n In my many years of being involved with the village hall this was a rare occurrence. Unfortunately, I was unable to attend as I had just had an operation and was laid up. <\/em><\/span><\/p>\n We have a good rapport with our neighbours of the hall and I apologise to them. <\/em><\/span><\/p>\n A big thank you to Gail Adams, Carol Jenkins and Debbie Bourge from the committee who handled the situation very well. <\/em><\/span><\/p>\n Thanking you, <\/em><\/span><\/p>\n Bernard Jenkins, Chairman<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n On behalf of my family, I would like to express my deepest thanks to everyone in the community who offered their kind words of condolence and support following the passing of my dad Ian Moody. <\/em><\/span><\/p>\n Your messages, cards and comforting words have been a great source of strength to us all during this difficult time. \ntheir support as we participated in the Alzheimer\u2019s<\/em><\/span>
\nSociety Memory Walk last month. With everyone\u2019s<\/em><\/span>
\nhelp we raised \u00a31,000 for the Alzheimer\u2019s Society.<\/em><\/span>
\nA big thank you also to the nursing staff on St<\/em><\/span>
\nBarruc\u2019s Ward at Barry Hospital who care for Terry<\/em><\/span>
\nand all the other patients. They don\u2019t only look after<\/em><\/span>
\nthe patients, but the families too, and we really<\/em><\/span>
\nappreciate them.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n
\n<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

\nfriends from Wenvoe and far and wide for their<\/span><\/em><\/span>
\ncards, kind wishes and presents on the occasion of<\/span><\/em><\/span>
\nour 60th Wedding Anniversary on 4th September. We<\/span><\/em><\/span>
\nhope all who attended our party at Wenvoe Castle<\/span><\/em><\/span>
\nGolf Club on 6th September had a good time.<\/span><\/em><\/span>
