WOMEN\u2019S INSTITUTE<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n September Meeting of Wenvoe W.I.<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n Wenvoe WI met on 5th September in the Church \u00a0Hall for what is traditionally the first meeting of the \u00a0WI new year.<\/p>\n On this occasion, the meeting consisted of a Charity \u00a0Support evening, and our speaker was Lynn Hull \u00a0who is a delegate and representative of Ty Hafan, \u00a0our selected charity for this year. Lynn gave a very \u00a0moving account of the grand work and assistance \u00a0which this worthy charity, at TY Hafan in Sully, \u00a0provides for terminally ill and handicapped children \u00a0from all over South Wales. Further support for Ty \u00a0Hafan will occur on 5th October when our WI will be \u00a0holding a Coffee Morning in the Church Hall at \u00a010.30am.<\/p>\n Later this term, Wenvoe WI intends to visit the \u2018 \u00a0Organ\u2019 Factory\u2019 in Treorchy on 31st October, where \u00a0we will have a demonstration and talk about \u00a0building organs , a mini concert and a cream tea will \u00a0be provided.<\/p>\n We were pleased to welcome several new members \u00a0to our WI and have been informed that we can \u00a0expect quite a few more in the near future.<\/p>\n Our next meeting, on 3rd October in the Church Hall \u00a0at 7pm, will be a Fish and Chip supper combined \u00a0with members reading their favourite poems.
