{"id":12985,"date":"2023-03-09T12:22:28","date_gmt":"2023-03-09T11:22:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wenvoe.org.uk\/?p=12985"},"modified":"2023-03-09T12:22:28","modified_gmt":"2023-03-09T11:22:28","slug":"planning-updates-march-2023","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/wenvoe.org.uk\/?p=12985","title":{"rendered":"Planning Updates March 2023"},"content":{"rendered":"<hr noshade=\"noshade\" size=\"5\" \/>\n<hr \/>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff; font-size: 18pt;\">Planning Updates March 2023<\/span><\/h3>\n<hr \/>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The following applications have been approved by the Vale Council.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">30 Goldsland Walk,<\/span><\/strong> conversion of garage into living area.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>Copper Beech, Port Road.<\/strong><\/span> Demolition of conservatory and erection of extension.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>Wenvoe Service Station, Port Road.<\/strong><\/span> Outline planning applications for two bungalows on existing site, approved subject to legal agreement.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>Land south of Pound Lane.<\/strong><\/span> Proposed development for three residential dwellings.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>Land at former Rectory<\/strong><\/span> Proposed change of use from communal exterior space to private garden.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>21 Whitehall Close.<\/strong><\/span> Remove existing flat roof and replace with pitched one.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>Land at St Lythans Farm.<\/strong><\/span> Proposed change of use to provide caravan storage.<br \/>\n<hr \/>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>It was also noted that a pre-application for a solar farm has been submitted for land between East Aberthaw Power station and Fonmon.<\/p>\n<p>The financial position of the Council was discussed and budgets were agreed for the new financial year. This includes major spending on the Community Centre including new windows and doors and redecoration together with a new patio for The Hub. Some changes in charges for use of the Community Centre, allotments and the cemetery were agreed. Following a vote it was also agreed that the Wenvoe precept will be increased by 3% for the new financial year.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Great Glamorgan Way Route <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This involves a series of joined up footpaths and bridle ways across parts of South Wales with improvements to surfaces where required. This is evolving and as far as Wenvoe is concerned involves pathways from The Downs to Whitehall Farm across to Alps Quarry and Leckwith Woods.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Wenvoe Festival <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In view of the amount of work involved in organising this together with the need to arrange sponsorship and satisfy various regulations it has been decided to postpone the event until July 2024.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<hr noshade=\"noshade\" size=\"5\" \/>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Planning Updates March 2023 &nbsp; The following applications have been approved by the Vale Council. 30 Goldsland Walk, conversion of garage into living area.
