Dear Community Council,<\/span><\/p>\n

Upon reading January\u2019s CC News, your article<\/span>
\nmentioned the brief update regarding the planned<\/span>
\nscheme for a Solar Farm at Parc Worlton. (name<\/span>
\nspelt incorrectly by CC).<\/span><\/p>\n

This is just an observation but having lived in<\/span>
\nthis area for over 40 years I can say that I didn\u2019t<\/span>
\nknow and wouldn\u2019t have known its location from<\/span>
\nyour news update. I appreciate this is not the first<\/span>
\nmention; however, as articles\/meetings can be<\/span>
\nmissed clarity on location should be paramount.<\/span>
\nThere are concerns that many residents will<\/span>
\noverlook the scale and size of such a proposal<\/span>
\nbecause they are not aware of where it is to be<\/span>
\npositioned eg in a Special Landscape Area right on<\/span>
\ntheir doorstep. Parc Worlton is a historic name<\/span>
\nwhich is being used as a development name and<\/span>
\ndoes not reflect that it is in Dyffryn and is far<\/span>
\nreaching towards Barry. Not only that but when<\/span>
\ncumulatively added to other proposed Solar Farms it<\/span>
\ncovers more than 700 acres of used farmland<\/span>
\nbetween St. Nicholas, Dyffryn & Barry and will<\/span>
\ntotally change the landscape for the next 40 years.<\/span>
\nWhilst I accept the CC may wish to remain<\/span>
\nneutral on this subject I would like to think that they<\/span>
\nhave a duty to the community to be as informative as<\/span>
\nthey can about projects of this scale, size and<\/span>
\nlocation. If topics such as this cannot be<\/span>
\ncommunicated through your platform do you have<\/span>
\nany suggestions where it can?<\/span><\/p>\n

You are more than welcome to circulate or print<\/span>
\nthese observations.<\/span><\/p>\n
